As part of the ongoing fund raising for the Ross Community Hospital League of Friends, Catherine Roberts has offered to hold an exhibition and auction of some of the artwork by her husband, Rodney Beecher Roberts, and herself.
Further to this, a group of friends is putting together an exhibition on the history of medical services in Ross. There will be many parts to this exhibition including the Dispensary, the Cottage Hospital, the Workhouse, the Community Hospital, Chemists and Pharmacies.
Both exhibitions will take place in February in the Heritage Centre and the League of Friends Sub-Committee for the Exhibition Project needs your help to put this exhibition together.
If there is anyone who has material that can be used – whether it be photographs, advertisements, old medical equipment, etc, etc, they would be very pleased to be able to borrow it.
All original materials (photographs etc) would be copied before use, the originals being returned as soon as this copying takes place.
Mary Sinclair Powell has very kindly agreed to collect in this material for us, so if anyone has anything they consider may be useful they can leave it at the Heritage Centre during opening hours.
All material will have to be marked clearly with names, addresses and phone numbers for the safe return after the event.
