Welcome to Ross-on-Wye

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Ross-on-Wye which stands in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is in the heart of the lovely Wye Valley.

Ross-on-Wye is an excellent base for a holiday as it is ideally placed for motorway access and is close to South Wales . It has a lot to offer visitors who are interested in outdoor activities and is close to stately homes, historic castles and cathedrals, including Hereford Cathedral that is home to the famous Mappi Mundi.

The town is also ideally placed in the centre of a thriving cider making industry and I would urge visitors to include at least one of the cider makers on an itinerary, as any tour of Herefordshire would not be complete without a taste of the local brew.
