ROSS TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB HISTORY
 
Ross Town FC were formed in the summer of 1993 following the amalgamation of the town's two senior sides, Ross United and Woodville, and joined the Herefordshire Premier Division.

Finished in second place behind unbeaten Purton and were offered promotion to the Premier League but did not take it as the facilities as Ross did not comply with the league ground criteria, and the cost of ground sharing with Cinderford Town would have been too high.
2004/05 Hellenic League Division 1 Position 9th
 
Ross Town's second team in their first season (2004/05) finished 2nd in the Herefordshire Division 4, won one cup and were finalists in two others. Promoted to Division 2 for the 2005/06 season.
 

Ross Town Ladies (previously Cinderford Town Ladies) started in the 2000/01 season.

2004/05 saw the formation of Ross Town Ladies Reserves playing in the Gloucestershire County League. After a slow start they finished in 6th position.
 
Ross Town Junior Football: There is an under 13's boys team, and three junior girl's teams.
